In order to permanently commemorate and preserve the great achievements of people who have contributed to the promotion, development, and globalization of Taekwondo and the enhancement of its status worldwide, Taekwondo Promotion Foundation has announced its 2025 year of recommendations for "The Greats in Taekwondo History" as follows. We ask for your active participation in this program.

1. Candidate eligibility requirements

① A deceased, exemplary Taekwondo practitioner who is respected by Taekwondo practitioners around the world and is highly -uated in terms of their character and contribution to the development of Taekwondo.

② A deceased Taekwondo practitioner who has made outstanding contributions to the training, education, promotion, dissemination, technique development, and globalization of Taekwondo.

2. Areas of Recommendation

① Contribution to Taekwondo

② Special Contributors (Individual and/or entrepreneur, Administrators, Researchers)

3. Number of people to be selected: ◯ persons

4. Recommendation right holders: candidates must be recommended by one of the following referrers

① Public institutions related to sports and foreign relations, overseas diplomatic offices (including foreign embassies in Korea)

② Kukkiwon, World Taekwondo, the 5 continental unions of World Taekwondo, Korea Taekwondo Association, Korea Para Taekwondo Association and/or the national Taekwondo Association located in each country (Please note, that with the exception of Korea Taekwondo Association, national Taekwondo Associations can recommend a candidate through the 5 continental unions of World Taekwondo)

③ Public media organizations, such as newspaper and/or broadcasting companies (includes Taekwondo-related magazines)

5. Documents for submission: One copy of each form (recommendation letter and accomplishment report), accompanied by supporting documents (copies)

6. Recommendation period: January 1, 2025 (Wed.) to April 30, 2025 (Wed.) /24:00 Korean time

※ Only applications that have been received within the stated period will be considered.)

7. How to Submit: Fill out the candidate recommendation form titled "The Greats in Taekwondo History," found in

the Notice section of Taekwondo Promotion Foundation website (www.tpf.or.kr), and submit the completed form by registered mail.
