Chapter 1 General Provisions

 

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to set out basic matters concerning the conditions for using all services including the use of the website (“the Service”) provided the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation (hereinafter “the Foundation”).

 

Article 2 (Definitions)

1. As used herein, the following terms shall have the following meanings.

 - “Member” refers to those who have signed a Service Use Contract with us, registered themselves with us as members by providing their personal information (ream name verification) as required, and obtained their ID from us.
- “ID” refers to a combination of letters and numbers submitted by a member and accepted by us for identification of members and for their use of the Service.
- “Password” refers to a combination of letters and numbers set by a member to protect their personal information.
- “User” refers to those using the Service under these Terms and Conditions.
- “Operator” refers to a person selected by the service provider for overall management and operation of the Service.
- “Withdrawal (termination)” refers to the act of putting an end to a member’s use contract.

 

Article 3 (Effectuation; Revision)

1. These Terms and Conditions shall take effect with the presentation of their content in public by displaying it on the website screen or the like.

2. We may revise these Terms and Conditions when recognized as required. The revised Terms and Conditions shall take effect in the way stated in the foregoing 1.

3. Members shall be considered to have consented to the revisions in the revised Terms and Conditions.

We establish/disclose our Personal Information Handling Guidelines as follows to protect data subjects’ personal information and handle relevant complaints efficiently in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, Article 30.

We collect and keep personal information only with the consent of data subjects under the relevant laws and handle personal information for the following purposes. Personal information handled by us will not be used for purposes other than those stated here. If a stated purpose is changed, we will take necessary measures such as obtaining data subjects’ separate consent under the Personal Information Protection Act, Article 18.

Right to refuse to consent to our collection and use of personal information
Data subjects have the right to refuse to consent to this site’s collection and use of personal information. In such a case, however, you cannot use our Service provided through signing up as a member.

1. We collect the following personal information at the time of first signing up for membership for more efficient provision of various services such as singing up as a member and smooth Q&A:
- Mandatory information : Name, ID, password, date of birth, contact information, email

- Selection information : Gender

2. The following information may be created and collected automatically in the course of using the Service.
- IP Address, cookies, date/time of visit, records on Service use, records of dishonest/unauthorized use

Period of our retention and use of personal information

In principle, we will destroy members’/users’ personal information kept by us without delay upon accomplishing the purpose of the collection/use of the personal information. Therefore, when data subjects’ request withdrawal, we destroy their personal information every month.
